Photo: Leon Villagomez PhotographyIf you’re in Eureka on 101, you may have already seen a 6-ft Earth tumbling down the sidewalk.

It’s being pushed by World Guy, aka Erik Bendl and he’s been walking south from Seattle.

He told KHUM that he’s raising awareness for Type II diabetes (and hopefully money) for the American Diabetes Association with a simple message:

“Take care of yourself, love yourself, go for a walk. It’s a movement movement.”

From his website:

Erik Bendl has walked over five thousand miles for the cause of diabetes awareness.

In recent years he and his dog named Nice have walked in over thirty states and Washington D.C. to help diabetes organizations and encourage people to get healthy with exercise to control and prevent diabetes.

When you see him on the road stop to say hello, walk with him or call him @ (502) 408-5772.
