On October 15, 2012, officers with the Fortuna Police Department served a search warrant at an apartment complex located in the 100 block of 12th Street in Fortuna. The Fortuna Police Department had identified two suspects after they used stolen credit cards at several locations throughout Fortuna.
As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered credit cards belonging to a total of six victims. Most of the victims reported that the credit cards as well as other items had been stolen from their vehicles while parked in various locations throughout Humboldt County.
Officers also recovered a firearm, ammunition, methamphetamine, and prescriptions medications during the search.
As a result, three people were arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
