An earthquake, initially described as a 4.5 magnitude, shook Humboldt at 4:53 local time this morning. Shaking was felt over the course of several seconds in Fortuna, Humboldt’s cultural hub, and elsewhere in Northern California.
A 3.2m aftershock was felt a few minutes later.
