HCSO and FBI amassed at McK office before 7:00. Approximately 20 to 30 officers in camp and raiding T-shirts identifying them as police. Flak jackets going on.

A few moments ago, Sgt. Fridley of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two units from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force gathered at the McKinleyville substation this morning to execute a search warrant, but that he knew nothing of the nature of the warrant or whether any federal agents were involved. Given the number of units his office sent, he took leave to doubt it.

Flak jackets? “Yeah, yeah,” Fridley said, which seemed to indicate that this was pretty routine.

More as it becomes available.
