Original Post: A 7 acre fire is burning in the Pecwan area in northeastern Humboldt, Cal Fire spokesperson Division Chief Mark McKey said. There were structures threatened but firefighters have so far been able to stop the forward progress.

The fire is “holding,” explained McKey. He said that because of that some of the resources from the fire in the Pecwan area have been diverted to the McClellan Incident on Hwy 36.
