National Weather Service report:

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a coastal flood advisory which is in effect from 7 am to 10 am pst [Pacific Standard Time] Wednesday.

* Coastal flooding

High astronomical tides will cause minor flooding in low lying areas around Humboldt and Arcata bays. The water level is expected to peak between 8.8 and 9.1 feet MLLW [mean lower low water] at the North Spit tide gauge.

* Timing

High tide is at 8:44 am at the Humboldt Bay North Spit tide gauge. Flooding may begin an hour before or continue for an hour or two after high tide.

*Impacts

Low lying coastal areas will experience minor flooding including but not limited to roadways in King Salmon and Jackson Ranch Road in the Arcata Bottoms.
