On 12/26/2014 at approximately 2130 hours, Arcata PD attempted to conduct an enforcement on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with expired registration that was displaying false tabs at the Chevron Station on Giuntoli Lane.  The Jeep fled eastbound on SR-299.

At Arcata PD’s request, CHP took over the pursuit of the Jeep as it continued eastbound on SR-299 near mile post marker 10.  Hoopa Valley Tribal PD assisted the CHP in this pursuit.  The Jeep continued eastbound on SR-299, until it turned south onto Saber Tooth Rd near the Redwood Creek Bridge and continued for three miles on the dirt road.

An enforcement stop was made and the driver was placed into custody without incident. The driver was identified as Harold Joseph Marshall, a 39 year old man from Redding, CA.  Marshall was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for felony evading, driving on a suspended license and several warrants.
