What is the cure for all that ails Del Norte County? The State of Jefferson, of course!

As LoCO noted previously, back in February the Del Norte County Board o’ Supes voted to place a measure on the June ballot allowing its citizens the opportunity to symbolically tell Sacramento to shove it in favor of the proposed wackadoodle State of Jefferson. Should the measure pass, the board would (likely) join Glenn, Modoc and Siskiyou counties in adopting a non-binding Declaration of Support for separation. Yeehaw.

Now, as we all know, measures just don’t pass themselves. You gotta fund the revolutions you pine for. As such, the Del Norte-Jefferson Committee for Measure “A” has sent out brochures soliciting donations, as well as making the case for their desired 51st state (see the entire scanned pamphlet below). 

Our favorite section? The pamphlet banks on print media’s continued prominence in their new state by listing some headlines they’re sure will someday appear in the region’s newspaper of record, the Del Norte Triplicate. And here they are:
