Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office press release:

On 10-09-14 the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office (HCDA) – Criminal Investigations Bureau, assisted by the Department of Homeland Security (HSI) – Child Exploitation Investigations Group, concluded a long-term investigation relating to child pornography violations.

During the investigation, HCDA Investigators and HSI Special Agents served search warrants upon Jaime Lee Thompson (DOB: 07-20-76), his residence on Port Kenyon Road, Ferndale, Ca., his place of employment – Stewart Telecommunications at 1837 3rd Street, Eureka, Ca., and numerous vehicles associated with Thompson.

As a result of the investigation and searches, graphic images depicting child pornography were located, in addition to on-line chats and emails with others indicating that he had also traded child pornography via the internet. Evidence that Thompson had potentially committed other crimes associated with the exploitation of children was also recovered.

Thompson was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for PC311.11(a) and his bail was set at $500,000.

The investigation continues and it is anticipated that additional evidence will located.

Anyone with specific information about Thompson, or others involved in the possible exploitation of children, are encouraged to contact Chief Investigator Wayne Cox or the local law enforcement agency with jurisdiction where the activities may have taken place.
