As ever, one of the first places in Humboldt County to go amphibian during these recent rains is Elk River Road. Friends of the LoCO Leah Rosa and Jasmine Monroe have posted videos to the LoCO Facebook wall showing where things stand as of right about now.

Another annual flood spot, the Hookton Road offramp on 101 through Loleta, is currently closed due to flooding. A tree momentarily shut down northbound Myrtle Avenue by Mitchell Heights Road, but the county handled that tout de suite.
