Residents of McKinleyville will get a chance to discuss law enforcement issues, government funding and gang problems at a town hall meeting tonight at Azalea Hall from 6 to 8 p.m.

The McKinleyville Community Watch meeting will feature 5th District Supervisor Ryan Sundberg talking about Measure Z funding — specifically looking at what Mack-town is getting service-wise compared to how much it’s contributing to the countywide kitty via sales tax revenue.

District Attorney Maggie Fleming will also be on hand to talk about her office’s caseload and explain how she’s restructured the office.

And Humboldt County Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Miller will address a wide range of law enforcement questions. An agenda for the meeting includes a list of queries for the lieutenant, mostly focused on improving communication between the community and the Sheriff’s Office.
