Via the Marin Independent-Journal: On Tuesday afternoon, a Marin County Sheriff’s Deputy decided to pull over a pickup truck that was tooling down Los Ranchitos Road with no front license plate. At which point, it is said, the deputy smelled the unmistakable smell of the demon weed.

Cops found 110 pounds in the truck — see picture below — and arrested 31-year-old Russell Wade Broese Van Groenou on the spot. Search warrants were obtained for Broese Van Groenou’s Eureka home, and the next day they found a grow op in his attic, along with $17,000 cash and seven firearms.

Other evidence in the truck was tied to 33-year-old Eureka resident Adrien Quinones, so they raided his place too, finding cash and hash oil and shrooms. He, too, was arrested.
