On Saturday, October 15, 2016 Humboldt County Drug Task Force (DTF) Agents, along with California Fish and Wildlife (F&W) Wardens conducted enforcement operations on USFS Route 1 in Humboldt County.

A F&W Warden conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on USFS Route 1 near Friday Ridge Rd. The Warden detected an overwhelming odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 36 year old Russell Jay Green, of Orick, CA. Green had 10 lbs of processed marijuana with him. DTF Agents found evidence of marijuana for sales. Green was arrested for possession of marijuana for sales and sell/furnish marijuana.

F&W Wardens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on USFS Route 1 near Blake Mountain. When the Wardens contacted the individuals in the vehicle they detected an overwhelming odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. DTF Agents contacted the occupants of the vehicle, Kong Youa Vang (63, from Fresno), See Thao (45, from Crescent City), and Xiong Lor (51, from Crescent City). DTF Agents located 91 lbs of manicured marijuana, a concealed firearm on Vang, and indicia of marijuana sales in the vehicle belonging to Thao and Lor. DTF Agents arrested Thao and Lor for possession for sales of marijuana and for transporting marijuana for sales. Vang was arrested for having a concealed handgun on his person inside a vehicle.

All arrestees received citations for their violations and were released on scene.
