Multiple local fire agencies are attempting to contain a vegetation fire burning on Green Diamond land east of McKinleyville. LoCO readers report seeing smoke and note that multiple aircraft are circling the area. 

Scanner traffic notes the “Diamond Incident” is said to be approaching 10 acres in size.  

Just before 5 p.m., an additional water tender was requested. We will update as we know more.
