Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Dec. 11, 2019, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served one search warrant to investigate the illegal manufacturing of Butane Honey Oil (BHO) in the Phillipsville area. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Humboldt County Code Enforcement assisted in the service of the warrant.

Two parcels, located on the 300 block of Phillipsville Road, were investigated during the service of the warrant. The parcels did not possess the required county permit and state license to process/manufacture cannabis commercially.

During the service of the warrant, deputies located evidence of a BHO lab and items consistent with the sale of BHO. Additionally, deputies located and seized approximately one pound of BHO, over 100 pounds of processed cannabis and over $43,000 in cash believed to be associated with illegal drug sales.

Ronald Walther Millard, 69, was cited and released on scene on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance (HS 11379.6(A)).

This case is still under investigation and is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
