Lowdown: If Election Parties Bore You …

Tonight, Humboldt County’s political hopefuls and hangers-on will have their faces fixed on their laptop screens waiting for late-night election results. Big fun, right? But if you are lucky enough to not feel obligated to election party it up this evening, there are some less-tense human gatherings that may grab you. 

  • Nonprofit touring Bay Area clown troupe ClownsNotBombs will yuk it up at the Arcata Playhouse this evening while staging a performance of their show A Spaghetti Western. The synopsis: “A circus adventure into the absurd that follows a band of travelers as they bring the power of pasta to the western frontier.” Oh, spaghetti western. Got it.
  • Old Town Eureka’s most tasteful music venue the Siren’s Song Tavern attempts to seduce you to an election night rendezvous with SoCal Gypsy folk rockers These Pilgrims and local roots-ers Hollow Down. Pick up with those Pilgrims are putting down in the YouTube clip below. 

Oh, also, if you don’t vote you’re not allowed to have fun tonight. You’ve been warned.
