Lowdown Notes: Register For Jammie Jog II

A few community notes before today’s Lowdown listings:

  • C’mon, Humboldt. You know you like wearing pajamas in public. Humboldt hype master general Debi Farber Bush dropped LoCO a note this morning demanding we remind the community to register for Jammie Jog II, which takes place on Arcata’s I Street on Sunday, April 26. The 5K walk/jog in which participants wear their bedtime comfies benefits the Humboldt Trails Council and the Volunteer Trail Stewards. Register here
  • LoCO likes helping people, even more so when it only requires a few clicks. Savanah McCarty, founder of Wild Souls Ranch — a local nonprofit that provides free equine educations for at-risk youth — is one of five finalists in a contest looking for the next Kimes Ranch Clothing Co. model. You can throw her a vote here.
  • We know the regular Lowdown crowd are the out-and-about types. For you animals that are a bit longer in the party tooth, have you contributed to KHUM’s growing list of defunct Humboldt music venues? We lost significant hearing capabilities in The Vista’s back room. What you got?
