Friday Lowdown: SexyTime Trivia, KSLG Goes Animal-Style, Tardy Mardi Gras and Finding a Stranger in the Alps

LoCO‘s assertion is that this is a busy weekend. We will support our thesis with the long Lowdown human cluster list below and also with these few choice bits:

  • Q: Which creature found in some of Humboldt County’s coastal regions has the longest penis relative to body size in the animal kingdom?
A: You’ll have to come to Sexy Time Trivia at Blue Lake Casino (or) for the answer. The annual Planned Parenthood fundraiser features teams competing in a multi-round, sextacular quiz in the hopes of winning prizes we won’t dare reveal on a place as family-friendly as the internet.
  • Over at HumBrews, KSLG offers the latest in its New Bands, New Songs, New Sounds concert series. Who is new this time? Why it’s Brooklyn indie cuties Animal Years (video below) and regional alt rockers Fire Pony. OMG! What’s Sherae going to wear?! LOL.
  • The Big Lebowski. At the Arcata Theatre Lounge. Again!
  • Those who forego midweek party times can get their Fat fix at the Arcata Playhouse‘s Mardi Gras Ball featuring mask-making, the crowning of a local king and queen and Cajun-flavored music by Bayou Swamis and Bandamonium.

Much more in your Lowdown listings below.
