Lowdown: Arcata’s Monday Soul Chunk

Arcata’s Monday night funk showdown pits out-of-town soul warriors vs. local jammy stewards of rhythm. Over at HumBrews, Austin’s own T Bird and The Breaks bring a ‘70s sensibility to making your ass move — sample in the YouTube clip above. They best bring it: Normally Monday funking is delegated to The Getdown crew that jams weekly at Jambalaya.
