Lowdown: LoCO Wonders if Club Triangle Would Be Any Fun to Attend Tonight

Well, Humboldt, your Lowdown will keep this short and sweet.

On this historic day, sure, you could get your fun on at the Best of Humboldt Fair. Yes, you are assured at least a few expected chuckles if you hit up This is Spinal Tap or Mary Jane: The Musical. And there are handful of interesting looking musical engagements scattered around Arcata, absoluteley.

But lets be real: Fortune smiles on the newly re-floored Jambalaya this evening. On the same day the Supreme Court made legal same-sex marriage the law of the land, the Jam has scheduled Club Triangle, a night of dancing and general flamboyance sponsored by Humboldt Pride. Tonight’s proceedings kick off with a drag show at 10 p.m. courtesy Charlie Darling and Grrrlz 2 Men and then continue with DJ’d debauchery with Joe-E and Anya at the controls.

Do you like joy? LoCO will venture a guess that you’ll find some there tonight. Choose wisely.

—Andrew Goff
