Henry Diltz and Friends

The Historic Eagle House

An evening of music and storytelling with world-renowned music photographer Henry Diltz and lifelong Americana singer/songwriter Peter Blachley. This double-feature event, sponsored by Humboldt County radio stations KWPT and KHUM, offers a unique evening opening up with a fascinating slideshow of images and stories as told by Mr. Diltz who was on the scene when some of the most memorable music artists of the 1960s and 70s emerged. Being a musician himself (The Modern Folk Quartet) and hanging out and photographing artists like Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, James Taylor, The Doors, The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, the Mamas and the Papas, Jackson Browne, and many others, Mr. Diltz captured some of the most iconic images of these artists, many of which were selected for use on the classic rock albums we know and love. The second half of the evening features a performance by Diltz’s good friend Peter Blachley and most of the band who played with him during his Bluebird Café performance in Nashville including Humboldt County locals vocalist Ryan Rice, guitarist Michael Norton and Henry Diltz will join on banjo and harp. They will perform songs from Mr. Blachley’s new album, Nevada Sky.
