The Bad Plus
The irreverent outlaw experimental jazz trio known as The Bad Plus rose to fame over a decade ago by transforming pop and rock anthems by the likes of Nirvana and Radiohead into epic improvisational journeys. The band’s latest CD focuses more on their brilliant original compositions, but whatever the origin of the tunes, the group always delivers a singular sound that makes for a sometimes challenging yet always thrilling ride.
