WaMianiB Protest the Situation

Humboldt County Courthouse

Women and Men in and not in Black announces a set of protest events to be held on the first day of each month this summer, beginning on July 1. We will gather at the courthouse in Eureka, or possibly elsewhere, at a site to be determined by group consensus. Robert Aitkin Roshi joining WaMianiB before it formed. Robert Aitkin Roshi joined WaMianiB before it formed. This is not an endorsement. In keeping with the seriousness of the current situation, we will stay in silence except for when we need to talk or would otherwise like to do so. We will wear black or not, and will engage in walking, running, reading, standing, sitting and possibly jumping. This is in order to call people’s attention to the enormity of the current situation, which, sometimes, on a sunny summer day, might be forgotten. WaMianiB may have trademark-protected logo-branded fair-trade bisphenol-free water bottles for sale at the protests. If available, these will have been lovingly hand-constructed by our volunteer members from used, re-purposed motor oil containers. Ten percent of profits will go to groups calling attention to the situation, especially to its worst injustices and most appealing or appalling victims. WaMianiB is not affiliated in any way with Women in Black. Nor is it affiliated with the Democratic Underground, the Republicans formerly on the Democratic Central Committee, the Tea Party, the Libertarians, the libertarians, or any other group, and it is not intending to make fun of any other group, or to otherwise impose mental or physical violence on any person or persons. It merely wishes to call attention to the situation through a peaceful, non-violent, inclusive, gluten-free, and organic approach that has not yet been tried in a properly organized manner. WaMianiB is not affiliated with its HSU chapter.
