Thomas Edward Thompson, 75, of Santa Rosa, CA, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 22, 1950, Tom dedicated his life to his family, friends, and community of Humboldt County. He worked in the Lumber Industry for over 20 years, along with being a Minister of Music inspiring, leading and teaching Praise and Worship.

Throughout the years, Tom directed many church musicals and coordinated church baseball and basketball leagues. Tom retired from his second career, as a Funeral Director in 2019, after suffering a severe stroke. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Giants baseball, 49ers football, Warrior basketball and spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ginny Thompson; his children, Terri Sarto (Tony), Kimberly Ferris (William), and Jennifer Galovich (Tom); seven grandchildren, Natalie Palmer (Frankie), Don Sarto, Jeremiah Ferris, Ashley Ferris, Katie Ferris, Mason Galovich, Mitchell Galovich and great grandson Calvin Palmer; and over 25 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl H. & Opal Thompson, sister JoLynn Miller, niece Sandy Thomason, his in-laws Ted & Phyllis Curtis, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Bravo.

Tom will be remembered for his love for Jesus, compassion for his community, love for his family and all those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
