Alfred and Patricia Kelley
Alfred Martin Kelley
Patricia Ann Kelley
Together again.
Pat and Alfred met many years ago, but life took them down different paths. After their marriages and other relationships ended, they found one another again. Their renewed connection became a second chance at love, and they spent the next 30 years together.
Longtime Humboldt County residents, Pat and Alfred spent many happy years managing Stafford R.V. Park. The experience brought lasting friendships into their lives and deepened their faith in God.
Alfred Martin Kelley was born on May 30, 1932, in Rogers, AK. He passed away on January 24, 2025, in Stafford, CA, at the age of 92.
He moved to Loleta when he was 12 years old and grew up fishing, hunting and enjoying the great outdoors. He worked at the Loleta Creamery for 40 years until his retirement. He was quite the handyman; he had a knack for fixing anything that was broken. He could make anything work with only chewing gum and bailing wire. He was Macgyver before there was Macgyver.
Alfred is survived by his son Martin (Debbie) of Hartville, MO; his daughter Kathy of Warrensburg, MO; his son Alan of Fields Landing, CA; and his brothers, Donald and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his son Michael and his sisters, Dora and Virginia.
Patricia Ann Kelley was born on February 6, 1939, in Toledo, WA. She passed away on July 18, 2026, in Hanford, CA, at the age of 87.
She grew up and raised a family. She learned how to cook by cooking for four hungry boys. She was a great baker and made the best Oatmeal Raisen cookies. She loved to try new things when she went out to eat. She was not afraid to order the strangest item on the menu. She loved flowers, wisteria and anything purple. You could make her day by getting her purple flowers.
Pat is survived by her sons Robert (Sandy) of Weed, CA; Chris (Rhonda) of Fortuna, CA; Matt (Nancy) of Hanford, CA; and Guy (Mary) of O’Fallon, MO. She is also survived by her brothers, Eugene of Sonoma, CA, and Jerry of Stafford, CA.
Pat and Alfred are also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Their greatest legacy is the family they loved and the enduring love they shared. They will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held on October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunrise Cemetery in Fortuna, CA. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at the Monday Club, 610 Main Street, Fortuna, CA.
