LoCO frequent commenter, silver lining, sent this photo in.  He explained that the tree is called the Goddess tree and it is found on southern Elk Ridge. Inspired by the previous Featured Photo of the Chandelier Tree, silver lining explained he feels this is “a tree of great significance.”

According to silver lining, “It is on private property and blows my mind when compared to the majority of trees in this piece of land originally called ‘The Old Briceland Ranch.’ It is even larger in real life than it appears in this photo. I can see why the ancient Celtics worshiped or revered some trees. “

If you would like to have a photo featured on LoCO send a link or a photo to Include the name of the photographer and a website if it exists. A short bio of the photographer, a description of when and where the photo was taken. (Remember, it needs to have been taken in Humboldt.)
