Under the guidance of the Department Director, this position will supervise and assist in the collection basic forest resource data such as, tree attributes, stand level data, and road conditions on tribally owned lands. The Forester will oversee others and assist in preparation of timber sales, timber cursing, forest road layout, preparation of environmental documents and timber harvest plans. This position will be based in Klamath and/or Weitchpec, and will involve travel between these locations. This position will be approximately 50% in office and 50% out in the field. Works independently and is responsible for preparing NEPA documentation for all planned ground disturbing activities carried out by Forestry Program.
