POSITION SUMMARY: The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for managing operational aspects of housekeeping, and laundry programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum two (2) years of housekeeping management supervising a team of
ten attendants or more.
• Minimum five (5) years in housekeeping industry.
• Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations on chemical use.
• Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication, human
relations, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
program.
• Trained in safety and health as it relates to Housekeeping Department.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
• Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine
database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
LANUGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems
involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their
culture.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe
activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of
knowledge/skill.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as
needed.
• Must have positive attitude.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.

WAGE: DOE . Stipend for qualified bilingual candidates (English/Spanish)
