Millwright Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
The Millwright is responsible for assembling, disassembling, maintaining, fabricating and repairing machinery and other equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of general and preventative maintenance and repair.
• Strong math skills.
• Experience with fabrication and welding.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of electrical including 3-phase and PLC’s.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blue prints, and instructions.
• Reliable, dependable, respectful, and accountable.
• Able to work effectively under pressure.
• Critical thinking and problem solving ability.
• Strong physical coordination skills.
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Able to complete work in an efficient and timely manner.
• Able to consistently arrive to work and be on time.
Millwright Essential Functions:
• Consult with management to help determine the best layout for machines, equipment, or other elements.
• Transport machines, equipment, or other elements to desired location.
• Assemble machines, equipment, or other elements from their component parts, ensuring detailed directions and specifications are adhered to.
• Complete routine and preventive maintenance for all machines, equipment, and other elements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines, equipment, or other elements.
• Assist in minor and major repairs of machines, equipment, or other elements.
• Disassemble machines, equipment, or other elements to their component parts.
• Carefully organize and catalog component parts.
• Transport machines, equipment, or other elements after disassembly.
• Fabricate, treat, or repair surfaces, parts or other elements as needed.
