Job Summary:
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for cannabis material and capacity planning, including forecasting cannabis supply needs, tracking farmer contracts and payments, and ensuring a consistent flow of material to meet all internal requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage the Procurement Supervisor and oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the Procurement department.
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure a balance between sales, manufacturing, inventory investment and risk.
• Develop and communicate supply plans for in-house Processing and contract manufacturers. Communicate daily with internal and external stakeholders regarding material status.
• Align with Sales on Product Category Planning and material being allocated for Humboldt Farms product menus.
• Work with Sourcing Manager and Finance to administer farmer payments and track contract deliverables and timelines.
• Provide oversight for external production to ensure production plans & timelines are met.
• Use analysis to determine reorder points, safety stock, and optimal inventory carrying costs.
• Implement strategies to achieve quarterly and annual goals.
• Track and analyze data to generate reports on department metrics.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies & inventory accuracy
• Update SOPs and work instructions
• Assist with implementation of ERP.
• Other tasks as necessary

Compliance Standards
• Must be able to interpret and adhere to regulations set forth by the Bureau of Cannabis Control and the California Department of Food and Agriculture as they relate to the Procurement department.
• Must be able to adapt to a highly regulated industry that is constantly changing

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in scheduling, forecasting, procurement and/or planning
• Experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Google-suite, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• Strong analytical abilities, including mathematical abilities and spreadsheet analysis
• Knowledge of key inventory metrics such as Weeks of Stock, Inventory Turns, etc.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills across different levels within a global organization.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a deadline-driven work environment with attention to detail while multi-tasking.
• Ability to learn and become proficient with Distru/Bloomstack or other ERP
• Extensive knowledge of cannabis trends such as strains, extractions methods, etc.
• Experience with contract administration and/or accounting preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
