Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Wildlife Botany, Natural Resources or similar.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical activity in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Experience using GIS Computer programs.
• Experience conducting wildlife and/or floristic surveys.
• Ability to drive manual transmission, 4W-drive and ATV vehicles.

Job Duties

• Basic mapping of project features using Mapinfo.
• Writing biological reports, notes, and recording data in Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Assessment of vegetation in relation to wildlife habitat and ecological significance.
• Assessment of project proposal and analysis of potential impacts.
• Interpretation of existing natural resource databases.

Schedule

• 35-40 hours per week. Workload or deadlines may require work in excess of 40 hours per week.

Rate of Pay

• Up to $25/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
