The Development Assistant works with SoHum Health Foundation staff and volunteer Board of Directors to support fundraising and event planning activities. Tasks include soliciting auction items and donations, event planning, database entry, and communications. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate SoHum Health Foundation’s need for community support. Organized, with high attention to detail, and good time management skills. Proficiency in Word and Excel required. Non-profit and event planning experience preferred. Knowledge of the Southern Humboldt community preferred. Training and guidance will be provided to the right candidate. This job is part-time at 20 hours/week. Temporary through December 31, 2021 with opportunity for extension.
