Japan’s LOOLOWNINGEN are, in their own words, a Tokyo-based avant-punk, alternative blues rock trio, with “ink wash painting-like sounds and unicursal rhythms.” LOOLOWNINGEN means “wandering people.” Formed in 2010, after several member changes, they currently consist of SHIGERU AKAKURA (guitar/vocal), HIDENORI “HIDE” NOGUCHI (drums) and ATSUSHI UEDA (bass). They have played with GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR, DINOSAUR JR., LOUIS COLE BIG BAND, PINBACK, BUILT TO SPILL, GUERILLA TOSS, GOAT, and many more.

Bar opens at 6 pm. Music after 8:30 pm. Local support from PICHEA and MIDI KITI. $10 presale online / $15 day of show. 21+
