In Medieval England newly pregnant women would make a large cheese wheel and age it for 9 months during their pregnancy. When the baby was born the family would eat the cheese until all was eaten save for the rind. At the babies christening they would pass the baby through the rind for good luck. Now children receive their first cellphone and a Starbucks gift card for 10$ at their Christening. We've come a long way, baby.
