The final two suspects in last week’s attempted murder and mayhem case have turned themselves in, but were not arrested. The stories, it appears, do not add up.

From the Sheriff’s Office:

Chance Wood, 21 years of Salyer surrendered to the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office last evening and was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. Robert Warrington, 19 years old of Salyer, turned himself into the District Attorney’s office yesterday afternoon.

After a District Attorney Investigator interviewed him, a decision was made not to arrest him to allow time for further investigation into his story. Both suspects provided different versions of events than the victim; the Sheriff’s Office and District Attorneys are investigating their version of events. The case has been turned over to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office.
