Yesterday, the Lost Coast Outpost promised its readers the complete set of 374 PDF documents it received from the Public Records Act request it filed last month. It also promised a high-tech system “whereby people can page through these files, search them, comment upon them, note their relative importance and/or recommend them to others.”

Well, that last part mostly ain’t happening today, but at the following link you can find an alphabetical list of the complete set of documents we received, with links to the documents themselves:

Humboldt County Public Records Act Request for Email Correspondence, May 2011

These PDFs — representing email correspondence between county supervisors, planning staff and eight members of the public — are published via the awesome DocumentCloud service. You can comment upon each one with our usual Disqus comments, and if you see anything particularly interesting please do bring it to our attention there — and below this post too, if you like.

Trust me, though, it’ll be worth your while to post comments underneath the documents themselves. Those other superawesome features we mentioned yesterday will be rolled out over the next 24 hours, and the “documents” section of this site will be way more useful once that happens. We just didn’t want to hold off any longer.
