A little more than an hour ago, a driver struck two pedestrians in downtown Eureka, at the corner of Fifth and E streets, and kept going until running into a parked vehicle at the next intersection. The pedestrians — two women — have been taken to the hospital.

Gregg Foster of Redwood Capital Bank was just leaving the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors hearing on new air service to Los Angeles when the accident happened, and was pressed into directing traffic around the scene. He spoke with KHUM’s Mike Dronkers a few moments ago. Audio below:
