UPDATE 7:20 P.M.: On August 9, 2013 at about 4:10 PM, officers with the Fortuna Police Department responded to the area of Rohnerville Road and School Street for a report of an injury traffic collision (SUV vs. Motorcycle). As a result of the collision, the two drivers were transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital for treatment, one with life-threatening injuries. The cause of this collision is currently under investigation and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.

According to the Fortuna Police Dept., Rohnerville Rd. is closed at School Street. Early reports indicate a motorcycle and a car may have been involved in an accident.  The Police are saying the road should continue to be closed until just before 7 P.M. They are asking motorists to take an alternate route.
