UPDATE, 12/4: The News Channel 3 facebook page admin is reporting that the deceased was 59-year-old Chester Johnny Bighead. Lost Coast Outpost regulars will recognize that name as one that popped up regularly on BOOKED, the most recent occurrence being Nov. 27.

Lost Coast Outpost conributor Mark McKenna sends the following report from Eureka:

We had two individuals just off the oyster processing plant find an unresponsive man floating face-down in the water. They attempted to throw him a lifeline, but he was unresponsive. Some people leaned over the side of the boat and they towed him to shore. He was pronounced dead.

They know the subject’s ID — he was known to law enforcement — but his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
