This early morning accident in Orleans has left Highway 96 closed all morning, reports a friend of the LoCO. Though the CHP report makes no mention of it, the word on the street is that a pedestrian was killed in the hit-and-run.
The collision apparently took place not where indicated by the CHP, but near the Karuk Medical Center.
