Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Office Press Release:

On 10-07-13 at about 6:41 pm Deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4500 block of Lewis Ave, Eureka for a report of a stabbing that just occurred. Once on scene deputies located a 53 year old male with a single stab wound to the upper torso. The victim told deputies he had been in an argument with the suspect that turned into a physical fight. During the fight the suspect pulled a knife, and stabbed the victim one time. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to deputies arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later released. A possible suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
