Our county neighbors to the northeast have had it: Siskiyou County would like to break up with California.

The Redding Record Searchlight reports that today’s Siskiyou county supervisor meeting in Yreka was packed full of those in support of separating themselves from the rest of the state. Also in attendance was a staff member serving congressman Doug LaMalfa — who represent’s that district — who spoke in favor of secession. In the end, the board voted 4-1 in favor of pursuing such an idea.
