The Lodge Fire burning southeast of Leggett continues spreading northwards. Cal Fire has called a meeting at 1 p.m. in South Leggett at the Redwood Mercantile to brief residents on the coming fire. Currently, Cal Fire is saying that 35 structures in the area are believed to be threatened.
A press release from that agency at 8:30 a.m. said, “Structure defense preparation began from Tan Oak Park to Big Bend. Firefighting personnel and equipment are actively working to construct fireline across the northern boundary of the fire and secure existing containment lines.”
