The wide open race to succeed Paul Gallegos as Humboldt County’s district attorney is shaping up to be quite the compelling slobberknocker. This past Saturday, your Lost Coast Outpost was on hand for Allan Dollison’s red, white and blue campaign kickoff at the Eureka Veterans Memorial Building. (We’ve included the lengthy audio of Dollison’s speech from that event at the bottom of this page if you’d like to slog through it.) Dollison, of course, is but one of four declared candidates who will face off in 2014 — the others being fellow DA’s office alums Arnie Klein, Elan Firpo and Maggie Fleming.
While the DA slugfest is still in its fetal stages, LoCO‘s Hank Sims and KHUM’s Mike Dronkers peered into their crystal ball during the radio bro down uploaded below. Warning: These early speculations are only of use to serious political gamblers:
