A 14-year-old girl has been missing since the evening of July 4.

According to her grandmother, Morgan Martin left her home on Humboldt Hill Friday at around 8:30 p.m. to go visit friends. She never returned.

Lt. Steve Knight of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office told the Outpost earlier today that from all indications, Martin is a voluntary runaway.

Nevertheless, the family is very concerned. Martin has health issues that require continual medication and medical testing, they say.

“We’ve just never heard anything,” Martin’s grandmother, Joan Collier, told the Outpost earlier today. “She is just not really capable of taking care of herself.”
