Numerous Lost Coast Outpost readers have contacted us to ask what is going on on Broadway, where — at least until very recently — Eureka Police Department and California Highway Patrol cars were controlling traffic at the corner of McCullen Avenue, near the Marie Callender’s.
Here’s what we can find. This afternoon., a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Broadway. Officers who first arrived at the scene reported that the pedestrian — a man — was lying in the roadway unconscious. Medical personnel were summoned to the scene, along with CHP cars to help control traffic.
