According to scanner traffic, firefighters were called to a possible structure fire on the 1600 block of Fischer Road in McKinleyville around 12:30 p.m.

Firefighters broke down an apartment door and reported seeing visible smoke with no actual fire. A minor was evacuated from the residence with possible smoke inhalation. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
