The good people of Northern California aren’t the only ones feeling the effects of the wildfires currently plaguing our state.

NASA reports today that a large portion of Americans, including those fancy-pants highfaluters all the way in New York Cit-ee are breathing in our wildfire byproduct.

“California is being plagued by massive wildfires, and the effects on air quality from those fires can extend far beyond the state’s borders,” NASA wrote on Facebook today. “Carbon monoxide released by fires into the atmosphere can be seen by NASA Earth satellites drifting East.”
