Carl W. Tinsley, age 70, passed away in Redding on December 27, 2017 after several years of declining health.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Denise; his stepson Austin Dias and his wife Poua and grandson Kai, all of Redding, California and several extended family members from several states.

Born to James Lin and Iris Tinsley in Missouri in 1947, his family moved West when he was a youngster and finally settled in Humboldt County.  He attended Barbering School in San Francisco right out of high school and was a local barber in Henderson Center in Eureka until 2004 when barbering became difficult with health issues.

Throughout Carl’s life he enjoyed several activities including gold panning, camping, boating, casinos, and playing pool, but his favorites were muscle cars and music.  Anytime he had spare time you’d fine him with a guitar in his hands.

Usually laughing, cutting up, and generally having a good time, he will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
