David was born June 14, 1945 in Chicago. He passed away after a short illness on October 14, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce, son Matthew, Matthew’s wife Tiffany, son Vincent, stepdaughters Margie, Lauren and Marlena and 11 grandchildren.

David attended school in Homewood, Illinois. At age 15 came to Los Angeles to be with his father. He finished his education there at Washington High School. After high school, he worked for a short time as an ambulance driver. He then started training in radiology. He was drafted during the Vietnam War. After serving his time in the Army, he returned to Los Angeles where he finished his education in radiology. He applied for and took a position as a radiation therapist at Hemet Valley Hospital in Hemet, California. He worked there for 17 years. At this point. he moved to Redding. for a couple yrs. and worked per diem. It was at this time, he went to work in the X-ray dept. at General Hospital in Eureka. He retired from General Hospital in 2007.

When David was young he did bareback riding in rodeo and also did some parachuting. He was an avid sports fan, participating in golf, soccer, baseball and others. During his later years he enjoyed volunteering at the Moose where he as a member.

Most of all he was a people person known for his friendliness. He had a great sense of humor and quick wit. He genuinely cared for all he knew. David will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
